just got a test roll of silk charmeuse fabric from jacquard to print on my canon 8300. If you have printed on silk, any suggestions like what profile to
use? They do not provide profiles. the fabric is satin-like,slightly shiny but not too slippery like some silk can be. It is 12.5 mm in weight/thickness.

thanks!

There were some threads on printing silk and thin fabric on the Yahoo Epson Wide Format Forum in about 2012, including discussions of profiles.  You will have to translate from Epsonese to Canonese, but that shouldn't be too hard.

Here's a link the search results for "print on silk" which returns a lot of posts, but you may have to join the group to successfully reach the link.

used enhanced matte setting and profile. images came out quite lovely. the problem occurred when I peeled off the paper backing and the silk came off all warped and distorted. the rectangle images were anything but rectangular.  the silk was too thin I think, would need a heavier weight.
trying different ideas to square up the images so they can be sewn into something useful like a pillow cover.

I'm not familiar with that particular product.  As a guess, maybe you could try heat the backed fabric in direct sunlight for perhaps several minutes to half an hour or so before removal, the heat might help release the fabric easier with less stretching.
