The b/w works for me and I am a sucker for rock forms and the fact
you are standing in front of a boulder that is millions of years old.

A few points from my side:

1. This rock deserves a more dramatic "feel". Shooting slightly contre-jour does not work very well. Also, the clouds could be more dramatic too.

2. The grass is tonally too grey/drab, adding to a certain "lifeless" of the photo.

I love the composition, but there really is so much more you could do with this. I've played around a bit in Aperture & making it look dramatic isn't difficult - even in this file there's still quite a bit to work with.

Thanks for all of the comments everyone. Sorry for the delay in responding, I have been out with this damn flu for the past two weeks. Here's the final print of Rocks. Clouds and Sky. Took some your advice and made a few changes.

Hugely improved, from drab to engaging, without going overboard.  Worth a processing tutorial.
