This is wonderful because it is such a unique view.  Lots of interesting things to look at.  I like the texture, the lighting, the mountains in silhouette, and the starburst!

Just in time with the sun peeking above the ridge line. The lighting reveals the wonderful and alien texture of the salt flats.

Fascinating perspective, and that light, wow! Ditto the previous comments on the starburst sun. I haven't been to Death Valley, so I'm curious to know how high are those salt ridges?

Those ridges are not that high, about 5 to 15 cm, sometimes less. Sometimes they are more chaotic than on the posted photo.
