A short series from Yosemite
« on: January 03, 2015, 11:55:48 am »

I was working through some old jpeg images, trying to do non-destructive PP before archiving them. The shot choices from 2009, were inspired by what I remembered from Ansel Adams. PP probably strongly influenced as well, but then it may just be the subject matter and the choice of B/W.

Good stuff, though a bit oversharpened for my taste.

Really nice images and great clouds that add a lot to the images.  I really do like the black and white.  However, I do agree with Paulo--oversharpened and maybe over processed in other ways for my taste.  Still, I am glad you posted these.  Nice work.

These are great images, but there all of the Eiffel of Yosemite.  I have spent over two weeks hiking in the park and never saw this view!

That's the problem! You can't get these views if you're hiking ;) Half Dome was from Glacier Point and the valley was from the scenic view just outside the Wawona Tunnel. I know they're iconic; that's why I took them. Just having fun. It is a great place.
