Great Egret just at the point of release. It's amazing the balance they can maintain with those huge clawed feet.

Excellent! Crop to landscape? That would highlight the elegant curves in both the subject and the perch.

Would love to but nothing but a tangled mass of small limbs to the right. This was the only crop that could work.

I vote for the original framing. The sky is an important component of the scene. Too little head room in the cropped version. A very nice image of the bird and excellent processing. :)

The 2 proposed versions are so different but both have their merits.

But my preference go to the original crop.

Perhaps the 2nd version could be improved with more headroom above the bird.
