Another fine outcome of good seeing and timing.

The way the light falls on the land is perfect.

I love the way the image "contains" my eye. The clouds could be a little more dramatic though ;)

Yes I was so lucky to get this pano shot, because from seeing the light starting to burst through the heavy clouds behind the hill to my right and spill across the loch, to me stopping the car and setting up my camera and tripod, must have took less than a minute. I then fired off a series of verticals, something like 8 or 9 I think before the light had totally gone. So from seeing it to shooting to it, in about a minute and a half I would guess, to capture a scene that I will probably never see again, yes I was lucky indeed.  ;)

Touché  :D

David, that is so, so true  :)

Thanks everyone, I am so glad you like it.

Spectacular result - especially given the limited timing involved!
A true winner - should be a very popular image!

I think I need to lubricate my Gitzo. I can't set it up that fast.   :(

Just beautiful, Dave. Was this in Skye? I'm gonna make it there yet!

Just lots and lots of practice I suppose  :)

Yes this is the small single track road down to a small ferry that takes you off Skye and over to Glenelg and the Brochs  ;)

Spectacular result - especially given the limited timing involved!
