Yes...and I know this better, but until I replace part of my brain with a computer, I will have to share my experiences with such a wonderful stage and people :-)

Also, be sure you keep a constant room light where you edit your pictures on a screen and be sure you calibrate compensating the ambient light.

Therefore use a colorimeter with ambient light sensor (Spyder4Pro, Spyder4Elite, ColorMunki Display, i1 Display Pro)

As long as you keep light off the screen and the room is darker than your screen, which I keep it on cavernous side, you should be good.
If you have to have it close to a light source/window, have a hood on the screen or something to block directional light.

I have been using the Spyder3 Elite for about ?/+5years since it was available on another couple screens....It too has a ambient light sensor.
