David – I appreciate you sharing these images with us and your exploration of composition and processing. In the end I do prefer your colour versions as I think the contrast between warm and fool hues adds depth. Composition ally, I thought I would prefer a horizontal shot - thanks for going to the trouble to do so - but, like you, I prefer the larger rock in the vertical. Now, if that vertical were made square by cropping from the top... Talk about photography by committee!!

LOL, my thoughts exactly, but it is worth exploring and I always learn something from you and the others. You say tomato, I say tomato. In the end, I think it is about seeking that inner vision.

Bottom line is this (IMHO):
Print all of them and hang them on the wall for a few weeks. Then decide which one pleases YOU the most as a keeper.

Imo David the problem now is that you have lost sight of your "vision" because of all of the suggestions - including mine - that has come your way. You are the one who was there and you were the one who saw the scene and interpreted it as you saw it. You shouldn't forget that?  :)

Thanks, Man! I won't, but I still appreciate the suggestions.
