A question for anyone using the Panasonic DMC-LX1

A question for anyone using the Panasonic DMC-LX1

I understand that when shooting in RAW this camera captures both a RAW file and a 'standard' JPEG of the same image.  The JPEG is then used by the camera for image review on the camera's LCD screen.  Thus when you look at images on the back of the LCD display, you're actually looking at the 'standard' JPEG file for the purpose of reviewing the image.

My question is: why when using the built in flash are the raw files about one stop darker than the JPEGs? (and about -8 less saturated?) I'm noticing the flash exposure difference when I get the images back to Adobe Bridge.

Like reading Polaroids in the field when shooting transparency; I guess I'm just going to have to imagine that the JPEGs of 'flash photos' are actually a stop darker than what's on the LCD.  The only problem here is that LCD screens already have their own 'Polaroid factor'.
