"Native support of 8 to 14 bits per channel for a higher dynamic range" sound nice? Better compression than jpeg too.

But then again I see a lot of bandwidth killing animated GIFs these days, so perhaps I'm too optimistic
Finally, as an aside, it warms my heart to see the old school web-design for the developer's page. It reminds me of the documentation for a bunch of command line programs. Extremely rudimentary with no graphics whatsoever.
