Hi,
I am trying to setup HD39-II back to work on a view camera and it does not work. Connected a copal shutter to a digital back using a cable similar to this:
https://captureintegration.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/LongSync503000741.jpg
Then connected DB to computer with Phocus... It recognized back, and all looks OK. But it did not trigger a shot when I press a shutter release on  a view camera.

Is there any additional steps I am missing? The same configuration works with with Leaf aptus 75 back.. and Hd39 works OK on a Hd3 camera body.

Any help/suggestions?
Thank you in advance!

P.S found on Hasselblad website , this is what I am trying to do:

General Connection Options - Manual Flash Sync
A method is required to physically trigger the lens shutter and the
digital back simultaneously. This can be done via a very simple flash
sync connection or via a sophisticated electronic interface.
Using a manual copal type lens, connection is made from the lens
flash sync to the Sync In port on the digital unit. Therefore when the
exposure is triggered on the lens, the digital unit receives a signal to
expose simultaneously. If flash lighting is required then connection is
made from the Sync Out port on the digital unit to the flash equipment.

Ok, fixed. Have to power the back without connecting to a computer or camera, and select "flash sync" under camera settings.
Thanks for reading;-)

Have fun! I am not sure whether it is still the case with the H3D39 back but with CF backs you also had to watch out for your shutter speed in this configuration. When you are going below 1/8th you have to set that as well on the back or you might run into sync issues (mainly seen as images with green and magenta casts on the sides)

When selecting "Flash Sync" on the back, you can power the back from the computer. You just can't have Phocus open. Once you've selected FlashSync on the back, then open Phocus.

Also, as Dustbak says, the setting on the back should actually be:
FlashSync
<1/8s (it might be the less-than-or-equal-to sign, but I can't input that here)

Thanks for posting, Alex.  I am about to attempt the same thing.
