Still undecided, but I think I prefer the first one, the lines on that were giving it a bit more of dynamic, compared to this one.
This one has a more "contemplative" nature?

Don't know about #1 (yet) as this one passes first on my unread posts list :-)
Really like this one though, nice lines and textures and strong B/W with enough movement in the clouds and the interplay between the sandy patch and the reflection of the rock is very nice. (so nice it makes me wonder if a tele shot of just the sandy patch and the reflection would make a killer abstract
)
Now let's see #1,

I like it but #1 is still my favorite. This one is more classical, with a dramatic/contrasty sky. Reflection's symmetry is nicely broken by the sandy "island". It's a very pleasant image and a nice companion to #1.
