Antelope Mountains
« on: November 26, 2014, 07:12:43 pm »

A very moody day here in Utah. I decided to venture out to Antelope Island. In previous post I called it mosquito island but alas they are all dead now..very good. Snow has come to Utah and I love what it has done to the place. Comments welcome

No fog, but still reminiscent of your best German moody landscapes. Very dense tonality. Nice!

Cheers! That was my first trip out there with snow on the mountains. Once you cross onto the park, crossing the "bridge" it takes about 40 minutes to drive to that point but I wasn't sure I had enough gas (new car). But I just had to see.

Very nice dark moody tones. Nice to see an image that doesn't have the dark tones lightened in an unrealistic manner. Well done.

Beautiful. I like the "link" between the snow in the mountains, and the lighter strip of vegetation.

The dark mood is perfect for this amazing landscape. The snow on the mountain attracts the eyes like gold.

Well done!

Gorgeous image.

I have to ask is this a digital image, I would assume. But it sure does have the lovely atmospherics in the lower cloud layers, that I remember being produced with film/print images of this verity.

Very well done! Thanks for sharing.

Lovely photograph! It has a feel of velvet, and that is meant as a compliment.

The bright white area, without any visible detail, does draw my attention too much, but there are such beautiful tones throughout.
