Cokin Z PRO System and Polarizer
« on: December 14, 2005, 03:58:18 am »

Hi there, I am looking for adivse for landscape photography. I am using Canon 17-40mm F4.0 lens (usin FF Canon Eos 1 V) so I need to avoid a vigneting. Therefore I decided for Z and not for P system. So following question is.
1. Do you know if I buy the Hoya Super HMC PRO 1 circular polarizer will fit to Z Pro system and won’t have any problem to use other 2-3 Lee filters?
Can I expect vigneting @17 with this filter?
2. Another option as you  mention to go for 4x4 Lee square circular polarizer, but these following question I found in their PDF catalogue.
“100 mm square polarizer are to be used in the filter holder, the entire holder is then rotated to achieve the correct effect. Recommended for studio use or for when only the polarizer and, possibly, standard filters are to be used.”
“105mm rotating polarizer is ideal for landscape photography where extra flexibility is required.”
So what should I do? Are the any options available? Many thanks for your help.
