Great Falls National Park (v3)
« on: November 22, 2014, 11:47:34 am »

I've invested a number of hours into this version since taking it a couple of weeks back. This pano is favorite of all of them thus far. Lots of dodging and burning in the details of the the jagged rocks makes a considerable difference in how the texture is perceived in the final image.

Canon 6D, Canon 17-40 f/4 L, Formatt-Hitech IRND+GND - 1.6s, ISO 50, f/16

Beautiful sky and the clouds add some speed to this image. It's a perfect complement to the water. I also like how the water "leaves" the scene in the lower right corner.

Bravo

I have to be the lone ranger in my critique in that I find there is too much of too many things going on in this scene. Too many different textures, types of movement, variations on light, and direction that my eye just jumps from place to place until I cannot seem to find a good resting point. Just me. I guess.
