Internet Sites to View my Photos?
« on: November 16, 2014, 12:38:53 pm »

I've never uploaded photos to a website so that I can show family and friends my photos.  I've heard of Flickr Picasso, Shutterbug...but i've never used them.  Which sites are easy to use, minimal spam, etc?

Thanks

I use Flickr for casual display for friends etc.
Not the nicest interface, but never had problems with spam or anything similar.

Thanks.  I set up a Flickr account and will post photos to it soon

(Paul - great photos!  I like your eye for curving lines.)

Perfect looking HDR interiors, Paul.

BTW, thanks for not making the brighter exterior window scenes too dark and contrasty like most poorly rendered HDR I've seen online.

Note to self...don't bother trying to top HDR interiors. I can now scratch that off my creative bucket list.

Thanks, it's certainly my intention to make things look real, not surreal. But there's only two photos on my Photosteam that are composites, most the interiors are just a case of getting the exposure right, then using Ligthroom to get the best out of the RAWs.

Blown away, again. The hits never seem to stop coming!

GEEZ LOUISE, Paul! You didn't even use flash in those interiors? It's all Lightroom rendering?

Your camera must have a much wider dynamic range then because I can't get window shots that preserved without getting really dirty, noisy shadows in the interiors, but then I'm working with an old $500 2006 Pentax K100D DSLR.

Still got to hand it to ya' that's some really good work.

Yes, no flash on any of the interiors. A lot is down to just choosing the right time to take the shot, then being careful in LR. Knowing what you can get away with is the key to it ;-)

5DmkII mostly, despite what some folk might say about Canons, used sensibly they can still deliver great images.
