Digital Marketing

Having been involved in creating websites for various businesses I eventually decided that for many they are a waste of time other than reassuring people you exist and providing a point of contact, unless you are prepared to dedicate a great many waking hours to them. Here's something from Forbes that tends to back that conclusion -

All that hype over the years about the absolute need to have a super dooper website, the arguments over the finer points of HTML/Flash/CMS etc etc were, for many people, a great waste of time effort and money.

Exactly, you've got to devote a big chunk of time to a website to make it work as a marketing tool or you just leave it as a post card in the great window of the web and get on with what you do best.

Absolutely, businesses are therefore best advised to seek the most efficient way for them to eat rather than simply allow themselves to be seduced by the sirens of the web.
