Starling Murmurations

Yet another reason why I must finally visit Scotland on my next trip to the U.K.  (Scotland is still in the U.K., right?)

Wow. I've seen a couple of short videos of starlings in flight, but in a way these are more powerful. Thanks for sharing!

You can see those, just about the time of dusk, particularly in autumn when driving up the M74 just as you cross from England into Scotland. I have never found a plausible explanation as to why that particular area produces such spectacular murmurations of starlings - but it has been a regular feature for many years.

I should get out onto the Someret Levels with my camera - we get fantastic displays of Starling murmurations
