Magnificent Jacobean house near Saffron Walden, England, built on the site of Walden Abbey when it was seize, along with all the others, by Henry VIII in 1538. Now run by English Heritage.

Audley End is wonderful "old house" and you've captured it beautifully. It's not far from where we lived in Chelmsford. Beautiful countryside around there.

One of things I've recognized since moving from England back to southern Ontario, is that even at our latitude, I miss the lower sun angles of England (which, for those who are geographically challenged, is at a higher latitude than anywhere in southern Ontario and any of the northern States except Alaska!). Even at the height of summer, the long days meant wonderful sun angles for a much greater part of the day.
