Canon C100 question
« on: October 31, 2014, 07:44:49 pm »

Hello,

I have a C100 question because I am currently trying to set one up for use tomorrow.

I am using the C100, the Audio Grip and my Shure Lav mic.

I believe that I have everything set up in the camera, and it shows that there is sound coming through from both channels on the rear LCD, however when I bring the footage into FCPX it only shows me one channel, does that mean that both of the different inputs are on the same channel? is there a way to change this...?

Also I totally don't know if I am asking this question correctly, but the long and the short of it is that I want to be able to have the internal mic recording ambient and my lav mic recording to a separate channel so I can split them in FCPX and adjust their volume to the way I want it (just like I normally would on my Zoom h6). Thank you.

Best,
BH

Sounds like your audio is setup in the audio menu incorrectly. To avoid typing a book (sorry using an iPhone), refer to this video starting at the 9:45 mark. Hope this helps. It's pretty straight forward stuff especially if you view the manual:
