Castelluccio (Abruzzo, pardon me, must be Umbria, Italy) from some distance in the late afternoon. This image was shot during the Hans Kruse Abruzzo and Umbria 2014 workshop.

Gorgeous. Umbria, Abruzzo and Tuscany are on my bucket list.

Castelluccio (Castelluccio di Norcia) is in Umbria.
(In Italy it is really an overshot location, btw)

Castelluccio was one of my favorite spots on my one trip to Tuscany and Umbria in 2006. What a great place to include in a workshop.

What I like in this shot is how the fog helps to reveal the landscape [behind the village] in a progressive way. The light is also very niceā¦
