Autumn Morning, Ellis Creek
« on: October 27, 2014, 08:29:48 pm »

When driving to work, I typically take backroads, extending my 18-minute commute to about 20 minutes! It sure beats the grind of stop lights and 18-wheelers and it affords me the chance to enjoy the rural landscapes. Of course, on morning such as today, with fog and sun and frost, it means my commute is extended by more than few minutes to capture the beauty of yet another gorgeous autumn morning.

Basic processing with no additional vibrance or saturation. And those tree tops... they really are shrouded in fog making them, well, fuzzy.

C&C welcome.

Sounds like me when I lived in Germany! Nice capture.

Soft light, frost, some fog, really well done.

I like the muted colors. They give the impression of a cold morning. It may just be my screen, but the sky in the top left may be a little bright. It's probably a result of the fog, but the way it transitions to the other part of the sky is distracting me from the scene below.

Beautiful, Terry.
That's the kind of scene that would have me considering skipping work altogether.

Nice shot Terry.  This resonates for me both due to the setting and your gentle treatment.

Believe me, the thought had crossed my mine!

Many thanks for the compliments. Richard - I'll have another look at the sky. It is towards the southeast, so is bright from the rising sun (in behind the fog), but if it is too overpowering I will tone it down.
