Although this is an older thread the search for a writing tool to replicate a 'traditional' pencil signature goes on!

The solution I've used: "Karisma Graphite Aquarelle" Very Soft pencil. It produces a beautiful tone on the fronts and backs of ALL papers types.

Aren't they water soluble? Isn't that a potential problem? I guess once it's behind glass the risk drops to vanishingly small...
