Autumn Classics
« on: October 18, 2014, 01:09:39 pm »

Most of my autumn is taken up with the manic, but thoroughly enjoyable  life of the independent school I teach at. Most of my photography is of the fall sports teams, so I count my personal shooting time in minutes - most of which is up at the Bark Lake Leadership Centre where we  take our Grade 10s for a week for our Aquatic & Terrestrial Ecosystems course.

Shots like these have been done forever, but they are certainly hard to resist when they present themselves. The weather has been windy and rainy this year - ideal for 'shrooms. In fact, the moment after making the maple leaf shot, the leaf was blown off the bracken. It was that kind of day.

Nikon D800E w/ Micro-Nikkor AF-D 105mm ƒ2.8; natural light.

C&C welcomed.

Brings back fond memories of my early days as an outdoor education teacher and our great class trips to Bark Lake!

Thanks for your colourful close ups and commentary.

If they are clichés, they are very nice ones.
Not every photograph has to be earth-shaking.
Thanks for sharing them, Terry.

Classics well done are never boring. My favourite is #3, I like the angle of view. In #2, it is a bit too much from the top I think.
