OS X Yosemite: Change system font
« on: October 18, 2014, 03:01:41 am »

If you have upgraded to OS X Yosemite and really do not like the Helvetica system font, there is a font patch you can apply (I found it today in a Mac-related forum comment). It restores a version of Lucida Grande. I tried it on both a MacBook Pro and iMac and like it much better.

Lucida Grande takes up less vertical space and spacing is tighter all around so it makes better use of your screen real estate.

The single problem I have come across so far involves App Store-related dialogs but it’s still obvious what to do, and they are functional.
