Good shooting, Harlem. The contrast between the new kid all alone and the old, dilapidated, graffiti-filled city is a pretty powerful theme.

I really like it.
Amazing there's no other people around as a distraction.

We seem to have a big outpouring of excellent street shots here on LuLa recently. Maybe it's time to ask Michael to change the name of the forum to the "Luminous Street Photo Forum."   :D

As a landscape and abstract photographer, I'm jealous of you good "Street" guys. My reflexes are too slow to get these great captures.

Great shot, Harlem22.

Well seen! And captured! Can't help but wonder what he's looking at, out of the corner of his eye... permission? Or is he calculating how far he'd get if he decided to run for it?

The empty street and the boy stops to look...it's the slight tilt of his head and body that animates the field.
I like this very much.
