Autumn moonset
« on: October 15, 2014, 09:25:14 am »

I made a trip to Snow Basin in Utah. This is in my "backyard", a 20 minute drive from Ogden. On this particular morning I arrived late but the fates were kind and I was able to make up for my tardiness. I was actually in the car driving back home when I spotted the moon hovering over Snow Basin and spent the next 10 minutes parked illegally on the side of the rode capturing the sinking moon.

Fine shot, nicely processed. It shows the value of procrastination.

+1. That's your backyard!? Makes me yearn to get back to the 'high country'. Great shot.

I'd risk a ticket for that shot! Good work.

Very nice, I really like the small house on the top for scale.

Gorgeous photo well seen, captured and processed.

I do notice some small white specks in the bottom centre and off the middle right. Even if they are real (perhaps rocks?, but they also look like pixel drop out from scanning), I find they detract from the mood of the photograph.
