Hence my astonishment at your first comment. ;) It wan't meant as a criticism, only as an observation.

(I'll ignore the condescending comment about Ansel and B&W - the two are synonymous. And yes, he shot fall colours even it was in B&W.)

"Road" does seem to make a pretty nice BW/IR image with a little bit of work.



With all of the color in the original image there does seem to be a host of options for processing. Nice image at any rate.

Up toward Mt. Shasta, you will really get thrown for a loop on pavement color…they use the red lava for their asphalt and the roads are neither black nor blue but red!

Near where I live in the Mother Lode, they use greenstone for the pavement. The roads here tend to be GREEN!

It's a technicolor highway out there! :-)

In many parts of Ontario, especially in Northern Ontario, the roads are made from "pink" granite and have a definite red hue.

One needs to be careful with colour corrections.
