I've been trying without success to use ffmpeg to convert AVCHD (.mts) files from a Canon camcorder into a format that will work in Davinci Resolve 11.1 (Lite). I also tried it using the GUI for ffmpeg, SmartFFmpeg. I thought that converting the files to .MOV format would work since my $200 Canon P&S produces .MOV files that work just fine in Resolve. Obviously, I've been using the wrong arguments in ffmpeg and the wrong settings in SmartFFmpeg. Does anyone know what arguments I should use in the ffmpeg command line or what settings I should use in SmartFFmpeg to get files acceptable to Resolve?
