I think you posted this one just to nudge Slobodan into commenting on your blacks.   ;)

I like it. But then I am a fan of the darker look.

Yes he has.

I must admit that this one doesn't grab me as much as some of the other stunning ones you have shown recently. And I don't think it's because it's dark.

Oh, no, no way that I will ever again comment on his pictures! God forbid I, or someone else, say something even remotely negative, he might lock another thread. ;)

May I inquire discretely...because I look at every photo as a learning opportunity, mostly what to do though occasionally, don't you ever do that, Mister.

This one is more inquisitiveness. Overall, it is a full stop overexposed. There are places where the over exposure works, such as the sky and mostly the BG hills. However, I wonder why it is you felt you needed that extra stop on the boat and on the shadows on the quay, and two stops on the couple?

I had to edit the scene to see whether the "corrected" exposure (my opinion only) was more pleasing to the eye, or did it completely change the "message" you were trying to convey...or is there a middle ground that would do both?

If you would prefer I did not edit the image, I will gladly remove post haste.

There is a range of tones that is hard to balance out. It can only - imo - be done to suit one's own tastes. I feel your effort is mostly overexposed. I was trying to express a mood of the ship arriving at twilight to be greeted by onlookers. This image can possibly be processed again with more time spent on it and a better result achieved. :)

I like the sky, but IMO the composition on the left hand side does not work, too much superposition of elements leads to some confusion.
