Mar Azul, Mozambique.
« on: October 01, 2014, 05:00:21 am »

This is a bit different from what I have done before. I would like to know what you think?

Very soft, pastel, subdued, and pleasing. I like the way you treated the sun glare on the sand.

It has a lovely, dream-like mood.

Or was it just a white crest? Hmmm... ambiguity... must be street photography then ;)

To answer your question, I think it's a fine piece of work, William.

I think this is absolutely beautiful, I love the subdued tones in the photograph and the overall feeling of calmness that it creates.  A wonderful photograph!

Very nice image, agree with previous posters. The only edit I would make is to clone a small lighter spot in the cloud (upper left) that distracts a little (at least to me)

The beauty and serenity of this image makes me want to just fall into it!

It is a very different image to anything that I have seen you post but it is absolutely of the best that I have seen from you.
Watching your photography evolve, through your posts, has been a real pleasure, an absolute treat in fact, long may it continue!

A wonderful photograph. Worth printing big & hanging on your wall. Or mine, if you don't have room.

That's begging to be printed big.

Where in Mozambique is Mar Azul? It's an amazing country and simultaneously quite tragic.

Well, I was a little nervous about posting that because it was my first attempt at using an ND filter!

I knew I really liked it but your opinions have become extremely valuable to me, so thank-you. Francisco, that little spot also caught my eye so I will remove that.
I also hope that it will look good printed big and I will pass on a print of it to our host in Mozambique. Mahleu, Mar Azul is just north of the South African border, about a kilometre north of Ponto Malongane.
We have been going there for about nine years now and it has become quite "touristy" now. A pity.

It must be one of the few areas in the world where you can see elephant, lion, buffalo and other game in the morning and whales in the afternoon!

Tony, as always, you are very generous!

Thanks again
William
