EPSON 7600
« on: September 27, 2014, 09:34:06 am »

I have a epson 7600 which has been set up with Matt Black. T5438
I am attempting to switch to Photo Black T5431.
I have followed the advise from Northligh and Breating Color ie. service config >*0> enter> m/c off> m/c on > close ink lever procedure but I AM GETTING  AN ERROR MESSAGE 'WRONG CARTRIDGE' and all the cartidge light come on.
Does anyone know the how to achieve a result?

I think that Outback Photo website had figured out a hack for black ink changeover that didn't take a bunch of ink to do. I would do a google search to find it.

Another issue may be that the chip is bad--I've had maybe 3-4 bad carts in the last several years a usually a call to Epaon gets a replacement on the way.
