Spectraview II and multiple monitors
« on: September 26, 2014, 02:12:41 pm »

Been searching, but figuring I may get a quicker answer here by asking.

I have a NEC PA301W calibrated with spectraviewII. This uses the older version of the xRite device.  I’m replacing my 30” apple display with a second NEC, this being the 302w. I believe the newer NEC uses LED backlight, so is somewhat different than my current one.

So my questions

1.  Can the older device work on the newer display or do I need to get the newer custom i1 Display2 device? (or buy the bundle with the new display).
2.  Can I calibrate multiple displays with a single copy of SpectraviewII or does it require a “license” for each display.

You'll be OK with the old instrument (the software supports it) and I believe you can calibrate multiple displays with the one license.
