I didn't review any files shot with this back yet, but did visit with Ziv and Yaya at the Leaf booth and can attest that the live view is surely quite impressive! Probably for some this alone would be enough reason for purchase.

I'm not going to shoot any portrait type stuff but I do have some excellent examples shot by a Pro that worked with Leaf that I do have permission to use in the review and they are very nice shots shot late in the day with very little light. Frankly we would all be pulling out our strobes at this point in the day but not with this back. He shot very high ISO stuff that looks amazing. So I will include that as a reference .

Guy,
Did you compare CCD to CMOS backs by any chance. I'd love to see shots taken of the same scene with both types.

Very nice writeup Guy. Thx for posting.

It seems that the main difference between all of the 50mp (besides Price, features / specs) is the lens one uses infront of it. All the backs / cameras using this 50mp sensor have very similar RAW image quality performance and any differences are slight and mainly due to the RAW processing and of course, optics.

The good thing about the Credo 50 (and Phase IQ150/250) is that the lens options are much greater when compared to say a 645z.

I dont think somebody will buy a hasselblad back for a p1/mamya system.hasselblad backs are just not on the same level and old technology. The hb camera body is much better then p1amya.
Do the credo50/and iq150/250 work on h5x? How about lense correction in c1?
Phocus does a good job with the hasselblad files.

I believe they all will work on the new Hassy body and C1 does have a lot of lens correction for most of the Hassy lenses..

To answer the compare the CMOS vs CCD backs, I did not get that chance although they seem pretty similar. I did come from 5 phase backs with CCD so from memory they look very close.

Thanks Ken I would also assume that they will perform fairly similar to each other and will come down to what each company or division of a company sets them up in regards to there algorithms and raw processing profiles. Of course each will have different feature sets as well. Its a exciting time to see  CMOS in MF backs. It's certainly better than I thought it would be.
