Non-partisan political joke
« on: September 01, 2014, 10:39:46 am »

I was inspired to share this joke by the Scottish Independence topic, but better judgement indicated it shouldn't be in that thread.

Several years ago there were devastating floods in Iowa.  After the flood waters receded, a bus load of politicians were on an information gathering tour of the effected areas.  The bus was rounding a corner, slid off the road sideways and struck a large tree.  A nearby farmer happened on the scene.  After assessing the situation, he went home and came back with a backhoe/loader, dug a large hole, and buried the politicians.  A couple of days passed when a county sheriff officer drove to the scene and discovered the wrecked bus and the fresh hole, now neatly covered.  He found the farmer and asked what happened.  The farmer told him what had happened and that he had buried the politicians.  The officer asked if they were all dead.  The farmer replied, "Well some of them said they weren't, but you know how those bastards lie."

I thought you said it was "non-partisan"??

The politicians in the bus were clearly Scottish "NO!" campaigners.
