Single rental late Autumn, early winter. Just me, a few lenses and the sea...anything on your radar through experience? Thank you in advance.

Check more airbnb.com in the area.  There is also Tickle Pink Inn ($300+/night) just to the south of Pt. Lobos.  I believe Kim Weston (Grandson to Edward Weston) also rents out a cabin for $200/night on their property and might be on their website.  Hotels and motels are cheaper in Monterey Bay area than Carmel area in general, or so I've found.  Carmel is around $200-$500 night (Unless you want a guest room at Pebble Beach like Casa Palmero or The Spanish Inn and then it can hit $750-$3,000 per night.).  Monterey Bay around $100-$200/night.  Even cheaper inland (<$90/night) around Salinas too.

I stayed @ Edgemere Cottages @ 2/3 of yrs back. They were very nice & reasonable, a short walk to the beach.
