When I was young, the world was easy. There was classics, there was rock 'n rolll, there was jazz, pop and folk. Well there was jazz-rock too but that was at the leading edge of complicating matters.
Genres in music today? I am not bothered knowing them all, I gave up on that. One thing I observed, the more genres and categories music was described with the bigger was the chance that all of that sounded pretty much all the same.
So perhaps we start to introduce more categories to photography as well one of these days?
I start with an irish ~ish suggestion "Pain O'Graphy"
