Frequent head cleaning with R3000 when feeding from front
« on: August 02, 2014, 07:58:32 am »

Hi

I have started to use Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta. When fed from the sheet feeder, I hav eno prblem. Great prints and all.

There is only some marks on the border of the sheet whenre the rubber wheels grab the paper to transport it trhought the printer.

To avoid that, I started to use the fine art front loading mechanism. Works great, no marks.

But after a while I noticed that the printer does a head cleaning cycle before almost every print . I have watched new cartridges emptying very quickly. It took a while for me to make a link with the feeding mechanism.

Now I use the sheet feeder and no more head cleaning cycles.

Is this normal?

Cheers,

Stéphane
