Sunrise Rainbow
« on: July 27, 2014, 04:12:32 pm »

Took a backpacking trip to the High Uintas Wilderness last week. Got up early to catch the sunrise on Mt. Agassiz. It had been raining off and on all night long so I was not sure what I would find. Just as the sun crested the ridge a magnificent rainbow appeared. Nothing like being at the right place at the right time.

Maybe a bit too saturated especially the blue in the sky? At least to me, but it may work for others, and obviously works for you, which is the most important!

Good timing, and it even there is a hint of a second rainbow?

Double rainbows are so hard... I had a triple and couldn't really get any of the shots to turn out well, but I was on a poor setup ill equipped to capture the beautiful moment at the perfect time.  Seems like the right side is much darker than the left and throws the balance for me.
