Now that the how to clean DSLR sensors has been thoroughly covered I want to know how you guys (that includes gals) clean you camera lenses.

bulb blower?
lens fluid with lens paper?
lens fluid with lens cloth?
lens paper by itself?
lens cloth by itself?
how often?
none of the above

A bit of everything depending on the problem. How often is up to you. I start with the simplest to the strongest. I usually use lens tissue because I am certain there are no particles in there. But I also use a cloth from time to time. Always ones recommended for optics. You can also use various mixtures made from DISTILLED water - never mineral or tap water.

BTW, lenses and coatings are surprisingly hard. Not that you want to use a cloth when there is still visible particles of dust on the surface, but you are probalby not going to polish the coatings off or change the surface of the lens.

Use a brush to remove All of the dust,then breath on it and use a microfibre cloth. You can also use OptiClean and or ROR--www.opticlean.com--www.ROR.net

Tshirt usually. 95% of the time while it's on me. I then blow off the dust.

I realised that I was a professional when I stopped bothering with lens caps and just got on with it!

In extremis, I've cleaned some multi-thousand-dollar lenses with my T-shirt. A clean T-shirt, mind you!

Seriously, though, Galen Rowell's advice still applies. A clean, soft real chamois is invaluable.

When I sit down for some serious cleaning, like after a mucky job or when I've been fingerprinting the lenses left right and center, I use a clean and soft tshirt and clean with a lot of huffing and puffing and then use a hurricane blower or air spray to blow off the fibers. If I'm shooting a wedding and can't pull my tshirt out from under my shirt, I generally am happy to use a soft tissue. It absorbs the grease and cleans off the gunk.

I use a bulb blower, Lens Pen, micro-fiber cloth with lens fluid.
Occasionally, I also use a clean T-Shirt!

I do everything, but the inside.:laugh: That is not true. I will tackle the inside of view camera lenses. At least the surfaces facing the shutter.
