Last week, my friend Kerry Little and his son Michael and I did some backpacking along the Bruce Trail to Stormhaven in Bruce Peninsula National Park, Ontario. We also stayed a couple of nights in the Cyprus Lake campground.
Bruce Peninsula National Park is one of the core wilderness areas along Ontario's Niagara Escarpment. The cliffs along Georgian Bay are impressive as are the boulders and cobble beaches. Much to enjoy, much to photograph. Highly recommended.
Here are a few photographs. They were all made with a Nikon D800E, 3 of 4 on a tripod and processed with LR 5.5.
Georgian Bay Coast: 1:40pm, ƒ11 @ 1/100, ISO200 (hand-held) w/–0.3EV
Boulders, Afterglow: 7:31pm, ƒ22 @ 20sec., ISO50 w/B+W NDx3.0
Storm: 3:25pm, ƒ22 @ 1/13, ISO64
Morning Glow: 6:26am, 24mm, ƒ22 @ 6sec, ISO64 w/–2EV
I've been enjoying a newly-acquired AF-S Nikkor 18-35mm ƒ3.5-4.5. It is sharper than my AF-D Nikkor 20mm ƒ2.8 and as sharp as my AF-D Nikkor 24mm ƒ2.8. As well, I did some long exposures using Kerry's NDx3.0 filter - wonderful!
C&C welcome.
