LR4.4: Editing PSD files is glacial
« on: July 16, 2014, 03:15:52 am »

After the story some time ago on using PS for panoramas, I've been using PS more for working with panoramas. One of the outcomes of that has been how to save the resulting output. When saved to PSD and imported back into LR, the resulting edits using LR are glacial in speed. Aside from saving the PSD file back out as a TIFF copy without layers, is there anything that can be done to speed up edits on PSD files?

HI,

How large is the stitched result?

Also, try reducing the required amount of work on the stitched result in LR, by preprocessing the individual tiles before sending them to PS.

Cheers,

It's not meant to do that.  Once you go PSD keep your editing inside PS.
