Mission Peak - Fremont, CA
« on: July 14, 2014, 12:26:40 pm »

Long distance shot of a difficult to photograph subject up close. Lot's of houses, power lines and people stuff in the way. Always searching to find a new spot to photograph the peak.  This is a pretty big crop from a older 4/3 sensor. Big enough to print a post card  ;D

At times, I am surprised by the number of responses an image gets (or does not get) on the forum. Yours is one that deserves much more appreciation - the light and composition are wonderful. The image is proof that landscapes near urban areas can be attractive in the hands of a skilled photographer.

... Lot's of houses, power lines and people stuff in the way...

One way to get them "out of the way" is to gradually darken the bottom part. That would concentrate the viewer's attention to the clouds and mountain, as was the goal, I presume.
