Hello Gary,
Yes you where right. my 75mm Rodenstock Apo Rodagon lens is a M1:1 which would explain why it was terrible at infinity. I also have a Rodenstock Rodagon 60mm which I will tryout on Monday when I am back at my studio.

Here some quick shots from my studio using the Rodenstock 60mm Rodagon lens on my Horseman VCC Pro and Nikon D800E. I live viewed focused on the 3 air conditioning units. Mirror up as well.
