Thanks, Terry, also for the link to your blog article, it's good to see the different versions of the image. The 24mm prime does much better job than the wide end on the 24-85mm lens.
I like the color version, it brings back the Killarney memories much more vividly than the monochrome one. It's almost like being there.
The strong light and white mountains make it challenging to shoot at midday. I was there about 15 years ago, and took similar photos with a rotational Seitz Roundshot 35mm camera without a polarizer from the southern shore, not far from the portage to Killarney Lake. The polarizer makes a huge difference. And my canoe is also white.
Was this the location where you took this picture or was it further west?
