Scam alert
« on: July 10, 2014, 11:57:29 am »

Hi all,

I thought I post this scam alert.

A guy using this e-mail:

mlimited@outlook.com

who says he is David Martin from Poland living in spain contacted me because of my WTB for a Nikon PC-E 45mm lens.
The documents he provided within 2 minutes of me asking for some proof that he is a real person are Irish passport and driving license, though. Funny.

Also the pictures of the lens he provided, according to the EXIF data, were taken in 2011 by someone called Tom Harmon.

So I guess, it´s a pretty clear case here.

Hence be careful should he continue contacting members of this forum.

All the best,

Oliver

He just contacted me as well regarding my WTB ad, looking for an Alpa TC and lenses in the 24-120 range.

It was a huge red flag when he replied, saying he had a 24-120 in great condition. Ha!

Then he sent me pictures of an alpa STC inside a camera bag, didn't list and of the items, and asked me to give him pricing.

Don't even respond to him. It's 100% a scam.

I know right?

It's a new release, and he's the only one who has one. :-)

Please don't contact the scam guy,
a fps will give you chance of 24-120mm,  if you don't care the possible poor coverage
