Sorry you've had so much trouble with it.

My experience with the Z3100 is much like everyone else's on here:

A work horse that produces stunning black and white prints. Hope she'll keep running nicely for you now.

Try a nice, large b&w print on a Hanny paper and prepare to be amazed. :) :)

Most of the pain came from that scammer tech. Incompetent fool who lied his head off.
The second guy at HP was amazed to find such sheer incompetence.
Now you're right and I'll follow your advice…
