How do your images look? Does it affect your prints?

Hi John,

I've never seen this in an alignment pattern, and the fact that it's uniform across the pattern is rather disturbing.  Quite frankly I don't understand how you wouldn't be seeing this reflected in your print output.  This sort of issue would normally manifest as banding, due to the fact that your vertical edges are not lining up properly.  Looks like a print-head problem, but I imagine someone else on this forum will have more to offer.  At worst it would mean a new head.  I hope that's not the case however.  Have you tried to correct this?  Of course that would likely mean making the same numerical adjustment to each line.  Not sure that would make any difference in this instance though.

Prints are good..

I printed another alignment pattern and it looks normal now...  ???

This printer is only a year old with very moderate usage. I'll keep an eye on it and just take it for what it is.

Hi again John,

Glad to hear your problem has been solved.  I'm wondering if you might have had a head strike recently.  This also looks like perhaps a bit of dirt or a hair stuck to the print-head, due to the uniformity of the deflection all across the pattern.  If you notice this again I would suggest you try to clean the wiper blade.  On the 9900 that is a rather simple procedure, not sure about the 11880 though.

May your good luck continue ;D ;D ;D!!!
