Yes, b&w is possible and doesn't look bad. However, it loses the sense of heat, the "scorched earth" effect of the color version. Me thinks.

I gave it a wack in B&W and your right, color version is much better for your intent.

"Thermal" was shortened from "thermal spring." Happy? :)
