Auto Align Tool - question...
« on: July 07, 2014, 03:58:10 am »

Is it possible to make Photoshop (CS6) adjust *only* the top layer (of two) relative to the lower one, and leave the lower one untouched, when attempting to align?

e.g. Does choosing the Perspective option?

Or does Photoshop always adjust both layers relative to one another in attempting to find a fit?

Thanks.

Try locking the layer you do not want to move, etc. and see if that achieves what you are looking to do.

Thanks for the reply.

By copying the lower layer and then running Auto-Align on the original lower layer and the upper layer, I can see (using Difference) by comparing the lower layer and its copy (after running Auto-Align) that no changes have been made to the lower layer, only the upper layer.

So, sorted.

Thanks.
